Panel Discussion
Artists Franziska Greber (Zurich) and Gabriele Stötzer (Erfurt) in conversation with Helga Herzfeld from the Thuringian Coordination Office for the Implementation of the Istanbul Convention.
Together, they explore the possibilities and necessity of interdisciplinary collaboration with social stakeholders to make discrimination against women visible, discuss strategies for the prevention of violence, and address questions of equality and human rights.
Moderated by Elke Werner, Director of the Erfurt Art Museums, and Susanne Knorr, Curator of Kunsthalle Erfurt.

Further documentation of the accompanying events will follow soon.
WOMEN IN THE DARK – aufruhr des schweigens brings to light the realities of gender-based discrimination and violence in Germany. The project was supported by DER PARITÄTISCHE in Bavaria, with Antje Krüger as project partner, and by the Berlin Initiative against Violence against Women BIG e.V., with Patricia Kielinger as project partner. Around 150 organizations across 12 German federal states engaged 690 women, who wrote about their experiences on white shirts with red permanent markers in more than 40 languages.
